"The world disappeared.
There was no fear -
just power."
Chris looked at me, grinning. 'Are you sure you want to do this? It's really hot.' That single sentence lit something inside me. I took a breath, stepped forward, and walked. The world disappeared. There was no sound, no fear, no thought - just power. When I stepped off the coals, I felt weightless.
- Felicity O'Brien, Chair of the Blue School PTA - raised over £5,000 in one night

He was absolutely flawless at getting us ready and pumped for the firewalk. Many lessons learnt, confidence gained and friends made, all in one night. I'd give 10 stars if I could!"

"I did the firewalk this week in an event organised to support Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. It was fantastic from beginning to end - Chris kept the mood light, entertaining and motivational. Everyone braved at least 2 firewalks. Most of all he really helped drive the fundraising."

"It's been two days since my firewalk and I still feel like I can take on the world. Chris' instruction and ability to uplift you into forgetting all the anxiety and fear is second to none. Being able to tick this off my bucket list and raise an amazing amount of money for the school I work for has been a highlight of my career."

Spiders & Creepy Crawlies
For multi-day programmes and the truly brave - face the fear you can hold in your hand.

Chris Jones
Chris is the founder and Master Firewalk Leader at The Firewalk Experience. He has personally led hundreds of firewalks across the UK over the last decade, helping charities, schools, PTAs and corporate teams cross the embers safely while raising over £1 million in the last 24 months alone.
His training seminars are the reason walkers describe the night as "life-changing" rather than just a tick on a bucket list. He's the rare combination of expert technician, courage coach and natural showman - and the only firewalk leader you'll deal with from first call to final cheque.
What does a firewalk cost?
Every firewalk we run is bespoke - the price depends on group size, venue location, the date you want, and whether you bundle add-ons like glass walk, certificates, photography or video. We will quote you transparently on a single call.
Charity events almost always make their fee back several times over in fundraising. The average charity firewalk raises between £3,000 and £10,000 - and our top-performing events have raised £13,000, £12,000 and even £1.1m for SeeD.
Best for: groups of 20+ walkers with a clear cause, audience or team.
Most enquiries get a reply within one working day from Chris personally.

Why insurers rate firewalking safer than five-a-side football
Walking on 700°C embers sounds extreme. In trained hands, with the right wood and the right process, it is one of the lowest-risk physical activities a person can attempt.
Fully insured every event
Public liability cover up to £10 million, with a written risk assessment for every booking. Insurers rate firewalking safer than most sports.
500+ events. Zero serious incidents.
The worst injury we have ever seen is a tiny "firekiss" blister - usually no bigger than a 5p coin and gone within 24 hours. Aloe vera provided.
Qualified medic on site
Every event has a qualified first aider on site, plus a trained fire crew who load, build, light, tend and walk-test the lane before any walker steps on it.
Frequently asked questions
How hot is a firewalk?
Around 700°C (1,300°F) on the embers, hot enough to melt lead and fry bacon and eggs - measured by laser thermometer at recent events.
Will I burn my feet?
Almost never. You may pick up a tiny 'firekiss' blister, usually no bigger than a 5p coin and gone within 24 hours. Aloe vera is provided right after the walk.
Is firewalking insured and safe?
Yes - The Firewalk Experience carries up to £10m public liability cover, written risk assessment for every event and a qualified first aider on site. Insurers rate firewalking as safer than five-a-side football.
Do I have to walk?
No - walking is always voluntary. Many people who attend planning to spectate end up walking once they have seen the training.
How much does a firewalk event cost?
Charity and corporate firewalks are bespoke quotes based on group size, venue and date. Typical fundraising events comfortably make their fee back many times over - the average charity firewalk raises between £3,000 and £10,000.
How much can a charity firewalk raise?
Most well-run events raise between £3,000 and £10,000. The Firewalk Experience has helped UK charities raise over £1 million in the last 24 months alone - including £12k for Ambucopter, nearly £9k for Feline Fine and over £13k for St James Primary, Dudley.
Where can a firewalk be held?
Almost anywhere with outdoor space - grass fields, playing fields, car parks and gardens are all viable. Heat-retardant boards and turf layers protect the ground. We do a site survey in advance, often via Google Maps.
How long is a firewalk?
The first walk is typically 3-4 metres and takes seconds. Walkers can go again on longer, hotter lanes - our current record is 12 metres. Most walkers cross the embers multiple times in one event.
Light something bigger than yourself.
One call with Chris Jones and you'll have a plan, a forecast and a date in mind. Most enquiries get a reply within one working day.
